As teachers, we are in a strange place. Our customers are who? Some people believe our principals or board members, some people believe our parents, some people believe our students. Is it a combination of that? Does it depend on if you are at a private or public school? I feel like the ultimate customer is our students. If we didn’t have our students, we wouldn’t all be teachers. We need to provide our students with the best of what we can give them.  For this reason, today I tried to fight for our students, to give them what they deserve. I feel like I have already had this fight at my last job, but I am at a new place and it is the same issues all over again.

At both schools we had the start of an amazing infrastructure. The start of good access for students to technology. But the access to the Internet was poor. Why buy the equipment if we can’t use it for more than a typewriter?

Sounds familiar…school with I-pads and digital textbooks, but next to no internet and software capabilities in which to use them. Books are nice, have hands and eyes= can access information.

Some things just don’t change no matter where you are.
