SpeakIt on Google Chrome

This is amazing. I owe a lot of what I learn to Richard Byrne’s blog Free Technology for Teachers. He has incredible tips, tricks and websites.  This one is not one I will probably use a lot, but I was thinking of ESOL students or struggling students.

If you want to use it you will need to have Google Chrome.  It is an extension called SpeakIt. You can highlight text on any website and it will speak it to you. This is amazing and the technology is just unbelievable but what will it mean for the human brain? What will be the future of education?
