What is the purpose of school?  It seems this is a great debate between scholars. “Two prominent goals of schooling: raising academic achievement and deepening the social/moral fabric.”  The types of curriculum fall under learner-centered, society-centered, and knowledge-centered.

Is curriculum a prescription or an experience?

The goals of schooling have also been categorized by academic knowledge, participatory citizenship, realization and career opportunity. But what do we really want to do with schooling?
